For the twelfth year in a row the Øya-festival, which is held in the "Medieval Park" in Oslo, is sold out of all tickets. It is located in a beautiful spot surrounded by the Oslo fjord to the south, the Ekeberg Hill to the east, and the ever-expanding Oslo skyline to the west. With great summer weather the people were relaxing in the park listening to a variety of different music. The Øya-festival has "something for everyone" and today, on the opening day, they could pride themselves with, amongst others, the reunited British band Blur, Wu-Tang Clan and the Norwegian hardcore metal band Kvelertak. Accompanied by stages and small shops serving drinks and food, the artists and audience are surrounded by green grass, trees and water.
